In the road services sector, Geis has been a key shareholder in the German consortium of freight forwarders IDS (Interessensgemeinschaft der Spediteure), Germany’s largest general cargo cooperation, for decades. Geis handles shipments throughout Europe quickly and reliably via the IDS network.
With the expansion of the group to include the Gras Group, Spedition Krüger, and Agotrans, Geis is now responsible for 12 of the 54 IDS depot areas. This corresponds to more than 20 percent of the general cargo network. Geis thus also actively shapes the structure of this successful alliance.
