The Geis Group has grown significantly in recent years through acquisitions. Each new connection brings expertise and locations that broaden the company’s reach even further.
The small freight forwarding company founded by Hans Geis in 1945 has thus become a European group of companies—now in its third generation of management. Family values and entrepreneurial openness continue to guide the actions of this owner-managed European group of companies to this day.
“We grow because we never stand still. We invest in infrastructure, processes, and, above all, in our employees.”
JOCHEN GEIS
Managing Partner of the Geis Group
In recent years, several companies have joined the group, complementing the network and range of services while also contributing regional strength.
SINCE 2025
ZZ-Agentur Stoll Gesellschaft m.b.H. Transporte KG
Takeover of the operational business, including 24 employees. Targeted strengthening of the presence and capacity in the Tyrol region.
agotrans Logistik GmbH

Krüger Internationale Spedition (now Geis Krüger Internationale Spedition)
230 employees, €40 million in revenue (2023). With the acquisition of the two locations in Göttingen, Geis is further strengthening its network in central Germany.
Gras Group
Since January 1 2025, the Gras Group has been part of Geis – and since July 1 2026, that has been its official name.
470 employees, €125 million in revenue (2023). The locations in Neuwied, Polch, Mannheim, and Frechen strengthen the company’s presence in western and central Germany.
SINCE 2023
Quehenberger Logistics (majority stake since 2023)
4,050 employees, €650 million in revenue (2022). The largest acquisition in Geis’ history. Quehenberger completes the network in Central and Eastern Europe, and the Geis Group also benefits from expertise in contract logistics as well as air and sea freight.
Other companies in the Geis Group:
Kaltenbach + Weiss, Heinrich Transporte, Lechner Verpackungen, General Transport, Spedition Feico, TRS
Our growth strengthens our performance and brings tangible benefits to our customers. The acquisitions of Quehenberger, Gras, and Krüger in particular have created a close-knit European network that connects road, warehouse, air, and sea freight.
Geis leverages the group’s combined expertise: digital systems meet hands-on logistics, and international experience meets local proximity. This also fuels the development of services that go beyond transport, such as automated warehouse processes or the “Book & Claim” concept, a system that enables companies to directly reduce transport emissions.
“For us, growth means setting the right course. We combine our strengths as a group, invest in a targeted manner, and remain flexible. This enables us to offer our customers solutions that are exactly right for them—today and tomorrow.”
HANS-WOLFGANG GEIS
