One year of Geis & Quehenberger: Strong together into the future

Corporate, 22. November 2024

Around a year ago, the Geis Group opened a new chapter in its corporate history with the takeover of Quehenberger Logistics - the largest acquisition we have ever made. At the second management meeting of both companies in Nuremberg, we were not only able to look back on an eventful year, but also look ahead together.

From November 18 to 20, 2024, the top managers of both companies met in Nuremberg. On the agenda: the Group's vision, mission and values, the strategic direction for the future and the next milestones on our shared path.

What has been achieved so far?

We have strengthened structures, brought teams together, recorded our first cross-selling successes and significantly expanded our presence in South East Europe. Our new vision, mission and values form the foundation of our actions - they build on what has made us strong in the past and at the same time are clearly geared towards the future.

“What began a year ago with BEST OF BOTH has evolved into BEST OF US,” explains Jochen Geis, Managing Partner of the Geis Group. “This motto is far more than just a slogan. It stands for the successful merger of two strong companies that now act as one unit - and move forward together.”

Christian Fürstaller, CEO of Quehenberger Logistics, also draws a positive balance: “The last twelve months have been intensive, but enormously successful. We have proven that we can not only combine strengths, but also set new standards together. Our customers benefit from a unique mix of experience, innovative strength and regional proximity.”

Strong networks, innovation and team spirit

With a strong network that stretches from Central to Southeast Europe, coupled with expertise in contract logistics and international air and sea freight, together we offer our customers real competitive advantages. But our success is not only based on efficient structures and innovative solutions in IT, digitalization and sustainability - it is above all based on the commitment of our employees.

Hans-Wolfgang Geis, Managing Partner of the Geis Group, puts it in a nutshell: “What really sets us apart is the personal commitment of our teams. They react flexibly, act proactively and always find the best solution. Because logistics is and remains a people business - people make the difference.”

The management meeting in Nuremberg was therefore much more than just a strategic update. It was an impressive demonstration of what makes our Group strong: team spirit, a willingness to break new ground and a shared ambition to achieve great things. The focus was on intensive discussions as well as personal exchanges. Shared experiences and togetherness made the event a real highlight and showed what really matters: a team that is successful - and never forgets to have fun.
