We are continuing to develop our IT organization: On 1 January 2027, Thomas Pentza will take on the newly created role of Chief Information Officer. In this position, he will be responsible for IT across the entire Geis Group – including Germany, Central and Eastern Europe, and Quehenberger Logistics.

Thomas Pentza, currently Head of IT Germany at the Geis Group, will take on the newly created role of Chief Information Officer on 1 January 2027.

From July 2026, Thomas Pentza will already become a member of the Geis Executive Board. He will also be appointed Managing Director IT of Hans Geis GmbH + Co KG.

With the new CIO function, we are creating clear responsibility for key future topics in IT. The aim is to further expand collaboration within the Geis Group, bundle expertise in a targeted way, and advance topics such as digitalization, IT security and artificial intelligence across the group.

Our IT teams make a decisive contribution to the performance, security and future viability of the Geis Group. With the new CIO function, we are strengthening collaboration across national and organizational boundaries and creating clear responsibility for key future topics in IT.

Thomas Pentza has headed IT in Germany since October 2023 and has played a key role in shaping its professional and organizational development. In his new role, he will further connect the existing IT expertise across the group and establish common standards wherever they create real added value.

In the entire Geis Group, we have strong IT teams with a high level of expertise. We want to connect these capabilities even more closely in the future, learn from one another and establish common standards wherever they create real added value.

Thomas Pentza

The introduction of the CIO function is another step in the integration and further development of the internationally positioned Geis Group. At the same time, it underlines the growing importance of IT as a driver of innovation, efficiency and sustainable business success.
