Geis PL Sp. z o. o., the Polish subsidiary of the Geis Group, has strengthened its management team: Dr Grzegorz Lichocik was appointed second Managing Director alongside Adam Kwiatkowski as of 1 February 2024. At the same time, Geis PL appointed the previous Operations Director Paweł Golec as an authorised signatory. The company is thus taking account of its successful development in Eastern Europe, which has gained further momentum, not least due to the acquisition of Quehenberger Logistics last year.

Dr Grzegorz Lichocik has been an additional Managing Director of Geis PL since 1 February.

The new Managing Director, Dr Grzegorz Lichocik, has many years of experience in managing international companies. In addition to his management role at Schenker Poland, he was also Managing Director at Dachser in Poland for 14 years. At Geis PL, he will continue to drive forward the dynamic business development and focus on international transport and contract logistics. Together with long-standing Managing Director Adam Kwiatkowski, he will be responsible for the overall development and operational business on the Polish market.

At the same time, Geis PL has appointed Paweł Golec, who has been Operations Director for many years, as an authorised signatory. He has been working very successfully for the Geis Group in Poland since 2015 and will continue to support the new management team in his current role.

With the expansion of the management team, Geis PL is taking account of its strong growth in recent years. This has gained further momentum following the majority takeover of Quehenberger Logistics by the Geis Group in 2023. Although both companies continue to operate independently under their respective management, they are increasingly benefiting from mutual synergy effects. Quehenberger is regarded as an industry pioneer in the areas of digitalisation and automation, while the Geis Group has achieved a high degree of efficiency and sustainability in its services.

Geis PL is thus continuously expanding its share of the Polish general cargo market and creating the basis for offering its customers more comprehensive services, including for international transport operations. The company sees great potential in the area of contract logistics. Here, the Geis Group has many years of experience in many European countries.
