Geis TR Logistics celebrates its first year. A strong start in Turkey.

With this new branch, we are supporting Siemens Healthineers' business in Turkey and Southeast Europe. Our focus is on transporting, installing and assembling highly sensitive, large-scale medical equipment, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scanners.

This logistics operation requires state-of-the-art specialised equipment, such as refrigerated storage and trucks, as well as the utmost precision and flexibility. This became clear right from the first order: in Antakya, a city in southeastern Turkey severely affected by an earthquake, our technicians installed a new MRI scanner in challenging conditions, making an important contribution to the reconstruction effort.

Team spirit and close cooperation

Today, nine technicians and two commercial employees work together in Istanbul. Our Istanbul-based commercial manager, Funda Tezcan, describes her team as young, dynamic and eager to learn. 'We support each other, share our knowledge, and thus grow together as we tackle our tasks.' This teamwork, combined with flexibility and commitment, is one of the site's great strengths.

Another important factor is the direct link to the team led by Geis-TR Managing Director, Sebastian Seehofer, and his deputy, Christian Tomalik, in Frauenaurach. This is where all the threads of large-scale logistics come together. Close integration ensures smooth processes: shared IT systems, regular communication and intensive coordination mean that everyone involved works together seamlessly. “It almost feels like a family sometimes – and that's exactly what makes us strong,” says Funda Tezcan.

The company is customer-focused, even on the international stage.

The team is already active beyond Turkey, with projects in Algeria, Morocco and Ukraine demonstrating Geis TR Lojistik's ability to respond flexibly to customer needs. Funda Tezcan emphasises: 'Such international projects are particularly challenging for us and demonstrate how valuable our expertise is.'

Sebastian Seehofer looks back with pride:

Our establishment in Turkey was a real joint effort, supported by headquarters, the local team and our technicians. Together, we established stable structures in a very short time. This cooperation is the cornerstone of our success, and we are particularly proud of it.

Stable growth and seizing opportunities

The combination of German organisation and Turkish adaptability has proven to be a successful formula. In the coming years, Geis TR Lojistik intends to further expand its market position, open up additional opportunities and ensure stable long-term growth.
