Klaus Stäblein to retire after 38 years

This influential leader will be bidding farewell to the Geis Group on July 1, 2026.

Klaus Stäblein, the managing director of Road Germany, continued to develop the division in the long term.

Klaus Stäblein started his career at Geis in 1988 as a freight forwarding manager at the Bad Neustadt site. Over the following decades, he took on numerous leadership roles, playing a key part in the development of the Road Services Germany division. Under his leadership, the company experienced continuous growth and enhanced quality standards. Most recently, he oversaw the successful integration of Gras and Krüger into the Geis Group.

Outside of the company, Klaus Stäblein was also actively involved in the IDS network for many years. As a member of the advisory board, and later as its chairman, he provided valuable input for the network’s development.

However, his impact cannot be measured solely by business metrics. Klaus Stäblein embodies reliability, entrepreneurial vision and an exceptional talent for uniting people. He drove change while always keeping the well-being of employees in mind. He mentored and influenced numerous colleagues and executives throughout their professional careers.

His departure marks the end of a significant chapter in the company’s history. For Klaus Stäblein, a new phase of life now begins, offering more time for family and personal interests.
