Logistics Prize awarded to the best graduates

Logistics talents honoured: Last Friday, 2 August, the Geis Group presented the Logistics Prize for the ninth time. Marco Weißensel, Managing Director of Geis Industrie-Service GmbH, honoured the three best graduates of the Logistics and International Logistics courses at the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences (THWS).

At the traditional graduation ceremony initiated by Schweinfurt’s Lord Mayor Sebastian Remelé in the town hall, Marco Weißensel honoured the three winners. He presented the first prize – an award in the form of a glass cube with the Geis logo – to Anna Höhn, the best graduate of the Logistics degree programme in the winter semester 2023/24. The second and third prizes went to Daria Bukhriakova and Rasim Imanov, who successfully completed the International Logistics degree programme. The three beaming winners received certificates and cash prizes.

“I am delighted to be able to present the Logistics Prize for the first time on behalf of the Geis Group – not least because I myself was a graduate of THWS 21 years ago,” emphasised Marco Weißensel. In addition to sponsoring the award, Geis is also committed to supporting young logistics talent and offers internships, organises joint projects and sponsors a seminar room at THWS.

With your outstanding degrees, all three of you have laid an excellent foundation for a brilliant career in our exciting industry. I wish you every success for the future and a good start to your careers!
