Shaping diversity, promoting potential: Women at Geis

Corporate, Geis People, 14. April 2025

The logistics industry stands for movement, change and growth - and it is precisely this dynamism that is reflected in our corporate culture. However, although the industry is evolving, it is still often perceived as strongly male-dominated. At the Geis Group, we want to change this perception.

As part of our #LoveYourWorkplace HR initiative, we are actively working on various sub-projects to ensure that workplaces are not only functional, but also inspiring, supportive and diverse - and that both women and men receive the appreciation, visibility and development opportunities they deserve.

Our aim is to create a working environment in which all employees - regardless of gender, background or stage of life - can contribute their strengths and develop their full potential. This also includes questioning traditional images and promoting new ways of working together. In practice, this means that we also specifically support women on their career path, create transparent development opportunities and offer flexible framework conditions that reconcile everyday life with family and career. Specific training courses that support women in their impact, individual support and a corporate culture based on mutual respect are not bonus programs for us, but part of our corporate DNA.

“For me, female empowerment means that women are given the same opportunities as men in management positions. Through equal opportunities and mutual support, we can better master the challenges of the future together.” - Sabine Geis, sponsor of the “Female Empowerment” sub-project, among others

Our #LoveYourWorkplace project is an expression of how we see ourselves as a modern employer. It combines the most diverse facets - from management development and attractive working environment design to support with family challenges - and provides impetus that has a long-term effect. It is important to us not only to initiate change internally, but also to actively talk about it and inspire others.

This week, we are presenting four impressive women from the Geis Group on our company profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, who share their very personal experiences - about hurdles, perspectives and their role in a changing working environment. Their stories show how diverse paths in logistics can be and how valuable it is to strengthen each other. All portraits will be presented daily on our LinkedIn profile, Instagram profile and Facebook profile during the week of April 14-18, 2025.

We cordially invite you to read along, think along and share your experiences and assessments with us in the comments!
